Oneira Temple Dream Elixir Set

Asclepius Essence:

A combination flower essence that allows us to connect with the energetic potential of the god of dreaming and healing, Ascelpius. This essence holds the conscious resonance of the dream and waking worlds together, as a bridge or liminal contact point where our awareness of both worlds can emerge with meaning.

Contains: a stock essence made from the flowers of Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata), and Butterfly Weed (Asclepias tuberosa) in spring water, Grappa, and Brandy. 

Dosage: This is a stock bottle so can be taken directly by the drop; 1-3 drops under the tongue or in water 2-3x per day or as desired. It can also be used to make a dosage bottle if that is a practice you're familiar with.

According to myth, Ascelpius learned the art of healing as an apprentice to the centaur Chiron and Chiron was an apprentice to the goddess Artemis. They embody the qualities of compassion, kindness, grace, the vital force, and the alleviation of suffering.

The dream temples of the Greco-Roman world were dedicated to the god Asclepius and those who came to these sites prayed for Asclepius to come to them in their dreams and heal them.

This essence is a “stock” bottle. A stock bottle is a dilution of the original “mother” essence made by taking 7 drops of the mother and putting it into a 60:40 ratio of spring water to alcohol and potentizing it by shaking. This stock bottle can be further diluted into a dosage bottle by taking 3 drops of the stock essence and putting it into 1/2 ounce of spring water.

Dreamtime Elixir:

Full moon extracts of wild Mugwort in brandy and Adirondack vodka filtered by Herkimer Diamonds plus a solar/lunar flower essence infusion of Mugwort flowers in spring water, Hawthorne Berry extract, Rosa Rugosa Glycerite, and flower essences of St. Johnswort, and Angelica.

***note: Mugwort is contraindicated in early pregnancy. If you are pregnant use only as an external energetic remedy.

This formula was created to work as an Oneirogen. An Oneirogen is anything that elicits dream-like states of consciousness. It derives from the Greek word óneiros which means “dream” and -gen which means to create/generate. When we use oneirogenic plants we are choosing those that will aid us in dropping into the type of relaxation needed to dream as well as enable us to access unconscious material.

It is sometimes the case that Mugwort works so well that people may have chaotic or destabilizing dreams and nightmares. This most often happens when we are not prepared for diving into unconsious material or we are rushing the process. It can mean that we have to step back and focus on sleep hygiene, nutrition, and nervous system health. It can also mean that we have to decrease the dose or use energetically.

This formula is made from wild harvested Mugwort, growing unrestrained in my backyard, and extracted in brandy and a locally made vodka that is filtered by Herkimer Diamonds (also local) plus Mugwort flower essence infused in both Moon and Sun light.

Sleep-Ease

A formula is made with herbs traditionally used to promote relaxation and aid sleep. 

Contains:Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora), Chamomile (Matricaria recutita), Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica), and Catnip (Nepeta cataria) with Michaelmas Daisy(New England Purple Aster) flower essence

Recommended dose: 5-40 drops an hour before bed to relax and aid in sleep. Start with 5 drops and increase at your discretion based on how it affects you.About Michaelmas Daisy flower essence

The flower essence included in this formula is Michaelmas Daisy or New England Purple Aster. There are several species of Aster that are also called “Michaelmas Daisy.” They are named for the archangel Michael who is prayed to in folk Catholicism, as Saint Michael, for protection. He corresponds, archetypally to the plan-et Mars, also a protective force. I’ve added it here to support our ability to relax, release, and let go, while knowing we are being loved and protected.
