Gather with us at The Root Circle to learn about the healing traditions of Sud Italia (Southern Italy) that include the use of ancestral plants, prayers/spells, stories, and ritual. We will do some making and ceremony together.
Lisa Fazio is Italian American. Both of her paternal grandparents were born in Sud Italia. Her grandmother from the city of Benevento, la citta delle strega (the city of witches) where there continues to be a strong practice of Italian folk healing and indigenous witchcraft. Her grandfather is from the village of Feroleto Antico in Calabria.
Bring a snack and we’ll have some Italian traditional foods to share!
