What do you already have in your cupboard or can find at your local grocery store?
These are just a few of the helpful herbal items that most people have access to and in times like these that’s imperative. These are also tried and true herbs I have used over and over for ANY pathogenic illness. ::
1. Garlic- stimulates immune system, antibacterial and antiviral. ****garlic is heating so caution with high fever and not for long term use
::
2. Ginger-decongestant
::
3. Molasses-high in iron, calcium, magnesium(anti inflammatory), vitamin b6, selenium
::
4. Turmeric-turmeric must be incorporated into foods such as soups and stews or mixed with warm milk and ghee to be absorbed but it is highly anti inflammatory and a natural antibiotic
::
5. Cinnamon-antibacterial, antifungal
::
6. Peppermint-cools and releases heat through exterior/skin, use for fevers
::
7. Basil- lowers fevers
::
8. Honey-provides nutrition, antibacterial, antimicrobial
::
One of the best ways to prepare these herbs adding to foods or mix in teas and sip throughout the day. A dash of salt can add to the tea to encourage the ionic balance in our cells.
