Plant Divination

Plant Divination

The character, actions, and qualities of plants are not merely causal but are also relational. and learning about a plant with only the intention of knowing what it’s “used for” or what it’s clinical applications are allows us just to know one or two sides or angles of it’s full spectrum of being.

Plants, like people and other sentient life forms, embody qualities that are reflexive and variable depending on both internal and external inter- and intra- actions. Reductionist science, patriarchy, and hyper-darwinianism have conditioned us to focus on  “cause and effect” or “when this happens this is the result” instead of the relational effect. The relational effect occurs when two or more actions, qualities or events happen together.

This often creates synergy which occurs within the plant and between its individual characteristics as well as between the plant and the person that is engaging it and the external environmental conditions that it inhabits.

Astrology and Herbalism ~ A Primitive Union

Astrology and Herbalism ~ A Primitive Union

Astrology is an ancient practice and art with roots that stretch into primordial Babylon, Egypt, and Israel, and, although its exact origins are unknown, it has been a consistent source of wisdom and celestial alliance for humans throughout time. It is the predecessor of astronomy with both systems being, at one time, a unified body of knowledge that combined the objective, obseverable measurement and motions of planetary activity with the subjective study of the emotional, biological, spiritual and social influence they have on the gravity bound energies of the Earth. It has presently become a widely popularized form of western divination, entertainment, and has been often confused with predictive fortune-telling. Astrology can be used as a tool to discern the energetic background from which past, present, and future events may be made manifest but, in its essence, is more a symbolic language that describes and defines the holographic resonance that exists between the Earthly and heavenly bodies. The concurrent motion of the planets and their influence on universal activities and functions have been studied, observed and documented by some of human history’s greatest scholars, philosopher’s, and scientists with ongoing experiments being conducted based on numerous hypothesis regarding the reflection of astral light, electromagnetic resonance and medical/physical correspondence.
